Our Business Philosophy
The objective of our business is to provide a high quality product and reliable service for our customers. In acheiving
these goals, we can continue to exist as a viable business for generations to come.
How We Got Started
Andrew "Andy" Sauer founded Cal Climate in January 1970. He was a Santa Clara and Harvard graduate
with a degree in mechanical engineering and business. He worked for several successful large manufacturing companies
before deciding he would start his own business. His vision was a small, personable company that could spend time
taking care of a local customer base. Andy passed away suddenly from a rare kidney cancer in October 1988.
His son's, Tom & Bob Sauer, who had long been working for their Dad, took over the reigns of the company and continue
to run it today. Chris Sauer, Tom's wife, came on board later to help with the books. Chris is currently the office
manager.
Our Employees
Employees play an important role in any business. Most of our employee's have been with us for 5 or more years.
We consider our employee's to be part of our family because we realize our business and reputation is so dependent on their
honesty and hard work.
